It is a single-piece asymmetric optic in optical PC, measuring 18 x 10.05 x 7.55 mm and rated for 1W and 3W emitters. The 135 x 85 degree asymmetric distribution throws a wide band across the roadway and keeps the vertical spill short, so pole spacing can be planned without flooding house fronts with light. Transmittance reaches 93%, and the lens runs from -35 degrees Celsius to +90 degrees Celsius ambient.
Product HighlightsAsymmetric 135 x 85 degree distribution: wide across the road, tight along the vertical axis.
Optical PC body with 93% transmittance for low loss on 1W and 3W high power emitters.
Compact 18 x 10.05 x 7.55 mm footprint suits dense street light and tunnel lamp boards.
Working range -35 degrees Celsius to +90 degrees Celsius for outdoor fixtures in cold and hot climates.
Compatible with XPE, Rebel, Osram and Nichia chips, so existing LED platforms can be reused.

FAQ
How should this module be cooled?
A: The star PCB must be mounted to a metal heat sink or to the luminaire housing using thermal interface material. Even a short period of operation without adequate heat dissipation can permanently degrade or destroy the LED. Screw mounting with a thermal pad, or thermal adhesive, is the usual approach.
How is the module mounted?
A: The board is normally fixed either by screws through the lobe pads into the heat sink, or by thermal adhesive where a permanent bond is acceptable. The lens is bonded over the LED during manufacture and does not require separate assembly by the customer.
Can the lens be replaced with a different beam angle?
A: Yes, depending on the design. Different lens profiles can be specified for narrow spot, medium, wide or elliptical distributions, provided the lens is matched to the LED light-emitting surface and the focal height. Please tell us the target beam angle when enquiring.
Can this assembly be customized?
A: Yes. OEM and ODM customization may cover the LED power and colour, the lens beam angle and profile, the star board dimensions and lobe layout, solder pad positions, the aluminum substrate and thermal conductivity, surface finish, marking, and packaging.
Can you provide IES or LDT photometric files?
A: Yes. IES and LDT files can be provided once the lens model, the LED part number, the drive current and the mounting conditions are confirmed.
